Airforce X and Y group exams offer candidates to be the part of service where the trades ranges from Radar operators to Garud SF . This exam shows the diversity of the airforce, where candidates are tested in Written, Physicals, GD and Medical criteria so that they can handle the physical and mental pressure effectively and make the Airforce touch the sky with glory.
The exam is conducted twice a year in three phases.
First phase written exam
Group X 60 min English , Physics & Maths
Group Y 45 min English , Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)
Group X &Y 85 min English , Physics , Maths & RAGA
The second phase is physical fitness test in which candidates have to run 1.6 km in 6:30 min. One also has to complete 10 pushups, 10 sit ups and 20 squats.
The candidates qualified for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) undergo Adaptability Test- I and Adaptability Test –II.
These tests are followed by medical examination to check the medical standards and deformities, if any.
On successfully clearing medicals, candidates are issued green cards. Now the candidateshave to wait for the enrollment list.
